For those of you who live in the community of “other than heterosexual”

“In this world of chauvinism, this world of the elevation of masculine over feminine, this world of separation from love, and feelings of incompleteness… those of you who live in the community of ‘other than heterosexual’ are very often in the position of the outsider, in the position of pain – yes, pain, and often shame.  And many times you feel that you must stay there – that you must stay in that position in order to be ‘safe’ from the judgments, the criticisms, and the condemnations of the rest of the world in which you live. 

“For many of you there is a sense that you don’t belong in this world, and for some, that you don’t belong in your life.  Beneath all of this, there is a haunting sense of incompleteness as a person.  And so today we would like to work with you, to understand the separateness from love, and to move to end it.  And to understand the position that you’ve held with the world in order to be safe from it, and to release that old safety, that protection, and to step into what can be your rightful place – a place where you stand within your love, within that sense of your life that is based upon that love, and yes, into a relationship with your world that is based upon the uniqueness of your individual love, as you bring it to the world, with every breath, with every thought, and with every word.
